How is artificial intelligence changing cyber threats and where does the reality end and the hype begin?
Virtual Routes’ Cybersecurity and AI Summer Bootcamp will bring up to 40 students to Amsterdam for an intensive week examining how AI is reshaping cyber operations, defence and security policy.
Through expert-led lectures, panel discussions and interdisciplinary group projects, participants will explore cyber attribution, commercial spyware, nation-state hacking and the evolving capabilities of cyber actors. The program will connect technical developments with strategy, geopolitics, governance and public policy, encouraging students to assess evidence, question speculation and communicate uncertainty clearly.
The bootcamp is open to master’s and PhD students worldwide, as well as final-year bachelor’s students who have been accepted into a graduate program. Students from all academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply, and no technical background is required.
Dates: 19-23 July 2027
Place: Amsterdam Business School, University of Amsterdam, NL
Tuition: Free of charge
Selected participants will receive a Certificate of Completion. Travel and accommodation are not covered.
