Phobos ransomware administrator pleads guilty

Russian national Evgenii Ptitsyn pled guilty in US court to wire fraud conspiracy for his role in administering Phobos ransomware operations. The group attacked more than 1000 victims worldwide and received ransom payments worth more than $39 million. The indictment reveals the inner workings of the group. He faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison.
