On July 1, 2025, OFAC (U.S. Treasury) sanctioned Russia-based Aeza Group LLC (a “bulletproof” hosting provider) and its affiliates for aiding ransomware gangs. Aeza’s infrastructure hosted malware, stolen data, and payment portals for groups like Medusa and BianLian; the sanctions freeze Aeza’s assets and blacklist its crypto addresses, with the UK NCA concurrently sanctioning its UK front company.
