The DOJ has unsealed an indictment against Rustam Gallyamov, a 48-year-old Moscow resident accused of leading the Qakbot botnet, which was used to distribute numerous ransomware families including ProLock, DoppelPaymer, Egregor, REvil, Conti, and Black Basta. Gallyamov, who remains at large in Russia, faces fraud-related conspiracy charges. Authorities also confiscated more than $24 million in cryptocurrency from wallets linked to him.
