An internationally coordinated takedown to disrupt and dismantle 14 command and control servers of the Simda Botnet took place. Ten of the servers taken down were in the Netherlands while others were in Luxembourg, Poland, and Russia and the United States. The botnet was used to spread malware including ransomware and consisted of 770,000 machines in more than 190 countries.
