German authorities, working with U.S. and Lithuanian law‑enforcement partners, have seized and shut down the Nemesis darknet marketplace. It was a major illegal online hub for drugs, stolen data and cybercrime services, such as ransomware. The Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) and Frankfurt’s cybercrime unit (ZIT) confiscated around €94,000 in cryptocurrency and have disrupted its operations by seizing infrastructure in Germany and Lithuania.
