Dmitry Fedotov, the author of the ‘Blackhole’ exploit kit was sentenced to seven years in a penal colony in Russia. Fedotov, also known by the hacker handle ‘Paunch’, developed the exploit kit that was used for various cybercriminal activity, including ransomware attacks.
