About the Course

Cyber operations are now a defining feature of geopolitical competition, intelligence activity, and criminal enterprise. Governments, armed forces, journalists, civil society organisations, and private-sector actors increasingly operate in a digital environment shaped by persistent cyber threats, contested narratives, and rapid technological change.

This two-day intensive course provides participants with a structured and policy-relevant understanding of the dynamics of cyber conflict and digital politics. It combines conceptual frameworks with real-world case studies and practitioner insights.

The program is designed to help participants interpret cyber incidents, assess attribution debates, understand the evolving role of international actors, and evaluate the implications of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence.

The course is delivered by leading experts from Virtual Routes and its network and is offered as part of the Virtual Routes Cybersecurity Services Centre, which supports non-profit organisations, media professionals, and public-interest actors in strengthening cyber resilience.
