Virtual Routes welcomes Elizabeth Kolade to the team as a Summer Research Associate.
Elizabeth Kolade is an interdisciplinary cybersecurity professional with experience spanning the private sector, government, and civil society. She is currently a PhD candidate with the EPSRC Cybersecurity Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) at the University of Bath. Her research examines how technical cybersecurity communities shape responsible state behaviour in cyberspace, with a particular focus on their role in international governance processes.
Elizabeth has a strong background in incident response and cybersecurity policy, contributing technical expertise to policy development at both organizational and national levels. She has also worked extensively on strengthening digital security for civil society organizations, with the aim of advancing digital resilience in high-risk contexts.
“We are delighted to welcome Elizabeth to the team this summer. Elizabeth will be supporting our efforts to protect Critical Community Infrastructure organizations – including nonprofits, charities, and other essential community groups – from the growing challenges posed by cybersecurity threats, scams, and fraud,” Max Smeets, Co-Director of Virtual Routes shares.
