The U.S. DOJ announced the seizure of 145 domains (darknet and clear web) and associated crypto wallets used by the “BidenCash” criminal marketplace. BidenCash facilitated the sale of stolen credit cards and personal data (over 15 million card records traded, servicing ~117,000 customers since 2022). The seized domains now redirect to servers controlled by U.S. law enforcement, shutting down the marketplace’s operations. This action, which involved international partners (e.g. Dutch Police via Europol), disrupts a key platform used by cybercriminals to monetize data (including data that could be used for ransomware or fraud).
