The 2025-2026 Virtual Routes European Cybersecurity Fellowship Cohort: Wealth of Experience, Diverse Expertise

The Virtual Routes European Cybersecurity Fellowship welcomes fifteen new fellows for 2025-2026 from government, civil society, academia and the private sector.

“The variety of expertise and experiences in this cohort is exactly what makes this fellowship so rewarding. I’m looking forward to the year ahead with them,” Max Smeets, Co-Director of Virtual Routes notes.

The fellowship is led by Merle Maigre, Fellowship Senior Advisor at Virtual Routes, and Programme Director of Cybersecurity at Estonia’s e-Governance Academy, and Max Smeets, Co-Director of Virtual Routes.
