Virtual Routes and CERT.NGO Partner to Strengthen Cybersecurity for Critical Community Infrastructure in Poland

Virtual Routes x CERT NGO Partnership in Poland for Cybersecurity Services Centre program

The Cybersecurity Services Centre (CSSC) is entering a new phase in its mission to provide free, practical cybersecurity support to organizations working in Critical Community Infrastructure across Europe.

We are pleased to announce a new formal partnership between Virtual Routes and CERT.NGO to deliver cybersecurity incident response, cybersecurity training, and practical cybersecurity support to NGOs and community organizations in Poland.

Communities depend on far more than energy grids, hospitals, and banks. Libraries, charities, community media, cultural organizations, volunteer groups, faith-based networks, and local support services play a vital role in strengthening social cohesion, inclusion, and resilience. Yet these organizations are often overlooked in cybersecurity policy and frequently lack access to the resources and expertise needed to defend themselves against growing cyber threats.

This gap matters. Cyber incidents affecting community organizations can disrupt essential services, expose sensitive data, and undermine trust in institutions that people rely on every day. While larger organizations increasingly benefit from dedicated cybersecurity programs and regulatory support, many community-focused organizations continue to operate with limited resources and little access to practical assistance.

CERT.NGO is dedicated to supporting non-governmental organizations in building cybersecurity awareness and responding to cybersecurity threats. Operated by the Fundacja Czwarty Sektor, the initiative helps organizations improve their digital resilience through cybersecurity education, practical support, and incident response services.

Through this collaboration, organizations in Poland will gain further access to practical support that includes cybersecurity training, security assessments, implementation of security best practices, support for securing accounts, devices, and networks, and assistance with security tools and technologies.

As the Cybersecurity Services Centre continues to grow across Europe, partnerships with trusted local organizations such as CERT.NGO are essential to ensuring that community-focused organizations can access practical, timely, and locally relevant cybersecurity support.

Together, we are helping strengthen the resilience of the organizations that communities rely on every day.
