Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv is the top research university in Ukraine. It has a long history of development and growth from 1834, where it was founded. Now the university has 12 faculties and 11 Educational and Scientific Institutes, providing top educational and research services in many fields of study. University has close scientific relations with many institutions around the world. University participates as well as leads international projects in collaboration with partners, leading institutions in Ukraine and abroad.
Informazioni sul programma
The program will be implemented in the form of a form of a year-long Certificate Program with Autumn term for education and Spring term for the selected (matched) local community organisations (LCO) consultation project and its defence. The certificate will be issued to the successful students. Also there will be an optional year-long course of ethical hacking (deeply technological for students with computer science and similar backgrounds), which will enhance the main agenda of the program. This program will be run twice, with education cycles finale in 2025 and 2026.
Our university team is thrilled about winning this grant from Google. Cybersecurity challenges are getting stronger, requiring more skills to defend from cyber attacks over time. This grant will enable us to organize the training course (Certificate Program, a kind of micro-degree) to empower the students with the knowledge and skills required to defend against cyber threats proactively. Students will obtain new skills and then disseminate this knowledge and use the skills to enhance the cyber defense of local community organizations to help them cope with cybersecurity risks.
