Richard McNeil-Willson, de la Universidad de Edimburgo, actuar\u00e1 como ponente.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Esta sesi\u00f3n explora el di\u00e1logo entre la cultura popular y los medios informativos en el contexto de un conflicto. Empleando un enfoque cualitativo comparativo, se analiza la representaci\u00f3n de la ocupaci\u00f3n israel\u00ed de Palestina en el programa de televisi\u00f3n Fauda y el contenido de las redes sociales del New York Times, respectivamente. A pesar de sus distintos formatos y prop\u00f3sitos, tanto Fauda como la presencia en Instagram del New York Times se dirigen a un p\u00fablico pol\u00edticamente progresista y globalmente consciente, en el punto intermedio entre los medios de informaci\u00f3n y los de entretenimiento. Centr\u00e1ndose en las representaciones de la violencia, las mujeres, la religi\u00f3n y la solidaridad, este cap\u00edtulo destaca las similitudes en las narrativas de legitimaci\u00f3n, humanizaci\u00f3n y deshumanizaci\u00f3n a trav\u00e9s de los formatos medi\u00e1ticos y el tiempo. Se argumenta que la repetici\u00f3n y similitud de las narrativas en los medios de comunicaci\u00f3n es crucial en la construcci\u00f3n de la legitimidad de la ocupaci\u00f3n israel\u00ed de Palestina.
