On March 4, Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (Vilnius Tech) announced the launch of its Google.org Cybersecurity Seminar program, supported by Virtual Routes. Designed to equip students with practical cybersecurity skills, the program focuses on real-world problem-solving and direct engagement with local organizations.
As cybersecurity threats grow in complexity, traditional education methods must evolve. The Cybersecurity Seminars program takes a hands-on approach, ensuring that students not only develop technical expertise but also apply their knowledge to address real challenges faced by businesses, nonprofits, and public institutions.
According to Max Smeets, “Vilnius Tech has built a program that goes beyond the classroom, giving students the opportunity to engage with real cybersecurity challenges from day one. By working closely with local organizations, students gain not just skills, but also the confidence and experience to contribute meaningfully to Lithuania’s cybersecurity resilience.”
With its strong focus on practical training and collaboration, the Vilnius Tech Cybersecurity Seminars program sets a high standard for cybersecurity education and is poised to make a lasting impact on both students and the broader cybersecurity community in Lithuania.
