Reach - a platform to connect universities, students, and local communities
The Reach platform helps universities and students in the Google.org Cybersecurity Seminars program to connect with local community organizations. It enables universities to match students with local communities based on an initial needs assessment, aligned with student skills and cybersecurity assistance services offered by the university.
Universities
Universities can use Reach to collect and analyze information about program success, including numbers of students and local community organizations, increased skill levels and community cybersecurity posture, and equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) impact.
Students
Students can use Reach to track their increased knowledge and skills through the program, to access relevant resources, and to receive awards and recognition for outstanding assistance to local community organizations.
Local community organizations
Local community organizations can use Reach to ensure all legal and procedural requirements are met before students begin their assistance, and to provide feedback to students, course supervisors, and universities on the assistance provided.
